National Camp Day Cards

An informal, non-governmental observance that promotes camping, outdoor recreation, and the cultural tradition of summer and youth camps. National Camp Day is used by camps, outdoor organizations, parks, and camp alumni groups to encourage people to try camping, participate in open-house or family-camp events, support camping programs, and raise awareness of the benefits of time outdoors—such as nature connection, outdoor skills, leadership and social development. It is not a federally recognized holiday and has no single official origin; instead it has grown as a promotional/awareness day adopted by various outdoor and camping organizations.
